Designing an efficient heating system utilizing DALYN Technology™ requires synergy between DALYN and the heating device, while accounting for spatial characteristics and user preferences. Aligning these three aspects is crucial for maximizing the efficiency of your new heating system.

Case study

In this model situation, our aim is to heat a single area of 100 m2 (250 m3) in a low-energy newly constructed family home. We are comparing two scenarios. In both, we are increasing the room temperature from 17°C to 22°C. In the simulation, the panels are heated to 100°C and the temperature is sustained for 12 hours.

Scenario one

Standard heating panel

Scenario one involves the use of 4 standard heating panels, each with an individual power input of 1,0 kW.

In scenario one, we reach the target temperature of 100°C after 18 minutes from the start of the heating with 0,90 kWh of power consumption.

Maintaining the temperature for following 12 hours leads to total consumption of 13,98 kWh (for all 4 panels).

Installed power of 16 W/m3.

Scenario two

Heating panel with DALYN

Scenario two involves the use of 3 namiwell heating panel powered by DALYN Technology™, with each panel having a power input of 1,0 kW. 

In scenario two, we reach the target temperature of 100°C after 13 minutes from the start of the heating with 0,66 kWh of power consumption.

Maintaining the temperature for following 12 hours leads to total consumption of 10,59 kWh (for all 3 panels).

Installed power of 12 W/m3.

Result

Utilizing DALYN Technology™ enables us to reach the desired temperature faster, and results in a reduction of approximately 24,2% in overall power consumption.

Additionally, you may have observed that we require one fewer heating panel when employing DALYN.

Phenomenological model

Based on our know-how of the heating thermodynamics and using CERN ROOT analytical framework, we have created a mathematical model for calculation of complex thermodynamic simulations and prediction of heat, energy and time savings within the electric heating system.

Using our model, we can predict energy savings for your individual situation based on only a simple observation.

About DALYN Technology™

Decreasing energy losses with higher efficiency and enhanced dynamics of heating

DALYN Technology™ works as an electrical converter, modulating voltage and current flow through heating elements. It thus increases the heating output and overall dynamics of the heating process, reducing energy losses by affecting the conduction, convection, and radiation of heat.

DALYN Technology™ is best applied to systems where there are significant heat losses. In such cases, DALYN contributes to the optimization of the heating the most.

We achieve energy and cost savings by making the heating process more efficient and consuming less electricity. The result is energy savings, meaning financial savings as well. An additional advantage of DALYN Technology™ is a significant reduction in the time required to reach the target temperature. This generates savings because time is money.
